Body
for Stiff festival
Shown is the visual identity for the 8th Student International Film Festival organized by STIFF. The theme of the 2021. festival was body.
The body is placed in a new, forthcoming reality. We interpret the body through the technological sphere of existence. We ask our- selves; how do the machines see people? How do they recognize us? What do our bodies look like through their “eyes”?
The human body is coping with new paradigms of existence: starting with social networks, to recognition camera systems, all the way to using ‘’Generative adversarial networks’’.
Used images were created with the help of artificial intelligence. The visual is the result of the so-called GAN breeding process, combining elements of various photographs of the Internet. The end result reminds us of a real human body even though it is a fictitious and artificially created image.
